Modal

Modal
-Possibility  = kemungkinan
- advisable  = saran
- intention   = tujuan
- necessity  = keharusan

Ctt: modals selalu di ikuti oleh verb 1
1.       Advisable
Ex: - you should come on time
2.       Necessity
       Ex: - i have go to now –i must go now
a.       Shall/will
Ex: - they will come to your home tomorrow ( ugkapan dan seberapa yakin)
b.      Could/may/might=> the speaker has no information and only guessing(pembicaraan tidak mempunyai informasi yang tepat,, dan hanya menebak)
Ex: - where is josseph..?? – he could stay at home
c.       Should/ought to=> the speaker has some information (pembicaraan hanya memiliki beberapa informasi)
Ex : -he should stay at home
d.      Must=> the speaker is almost sure(pembicaraan memiliki argument yang hamper benar)
Ex: - he must stay at home

Modal past events
Should                  have/has been                 seharusnya
Must                                                                     kesimpulan,waktu lampau
Could                                    +                             kemampuan, tidak dilakukan
Might                                    V3                           kemungkinan pada masa lampau

Ex:-
-he should has been studied hard
-this house must have painted well
-they coul have wriien a novel
The man might has been a president

Preference(lebih memilih/pilihan)
1.       Would rather + v1/be than v1/be
Ex:- i would rather dane than sing
2.       Prefer + V-ing/noun  to +Ving noun
Ex:- boby prefer going fishing to going camping
3.       Like +V-ing/noun better than V-ing/noun
Ex: - risa likes chocolate better than milk
4.       Would prefer +to V-1 + rather than V-1
Ex: - i would prefer to phone her now






Comparative : membandingkan
-          Er = digunakan unutk satu suku kata : Big=Biger
-          More = disgunakan untuk dua suku kata : Beautifull= more beautifull
Ex: - surya is more diligent than budi
-       -   My bag is bigger than her bag
Pengecualian :

Superlative = super/paling
Ex:
-          --He is the smarttes studied
-          -Tono is smart than budi
-          -John is as smart as jean
